Licensed Professional Counselor In Behavioral Medicine
Hello, I am Amy
I believe that every human being is entitled to a life of meaning and well-being. I believe that those goals can be achieved by working with a caring, supportive, and knowledgeable therapist. I offer guidance and support in a wide range of areas, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relationships, and trauma.
Live your best life
Individual Counseling
All ages, ethnicities, and sexual orientations
Sometimes we face an obstacle or unpleasant situation that holds us back from being who we hoped to be and feeling good about who we are. It is difficult for any individual to untangle the causes and develop the attitudes and behaviors that can lead to self-fulfillment. What is needed is a patient and understanding counsellor who can help clear away to problems that sap pleasure from our lives.
Family Counseling
“All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”–Tolstoy
Relationships in families can sometimes be difficult and unpleasant. And, as Tolstoy noted, the troubles in no two families are the same. Families, parents, children, and siblings can discover what is causing pain and through that discovery begin to build healthy relationships that restore well-being.
Couples Therapy
We all have many ways of coupling
No relationship is perfect, but sometimes we begin to dwell on what drives us apart rather than on what brings us together. Taking the journey to restore balance in a relationship together may not only heal the hurt and help create resilience. The road traveled together may also forge a deeper and firmer bond.

Telehealth
Sometimes You Cannot be There in Person
Space should not be an obstacle to help. We can begin to talk and untangle difficulties remotely, using phone or digital technologies. Some people find it more comfortable to speak at a distance. Whatever works and whatever brings us together and helps you find comfort, I will be there.

Wellness Tip
Therapy is important, but so are the ways that we take care of ourselves every day.
If you can, move your body daily. Research indicates that physical activity is an effective way to rebound from stress and restore depleted well-being. But here is what is often overlooked: not every physical activity is effective. Taking the stairs at work will help your cardiovascular system but it will not restore well-being. The activity must be something that can help clear your mind, and hopefully give you pleasure, like a walk in a beautiful place or yoga or gardening. Find your happy spot and be active there.
